Meet The Team

Nigel Frost
B.Sc(Hons) F.C.Optom

Nigel is a qualified Optometrist and practice owner. He opened his first practice in Modbury back in 1991, with the Kingsbridge practice opening shortly after. Nigel is passionate about clinical excellence and has invested continuously in the latest technology and equipment in both his Kingsbridge and Modbury practices over the last 30 years to help monitor eye health. He also has a keen interest in offering the best lenses available and lightweight designer frames to suit.

Nigel normally tests one day a week in Modbury and offers Comprehensive Eye Examinations and Contact Lens Examinations. He works closely with Sammy and Danielle to deliver an exceptional eye care service in both practices.

Nigel enjoys boating, dog-walking and working in his garden.

Danielle Clack B.Sc(Hons) M.C Optom

Danielle joined the practice in 2003. In addition to an earlier university science degree Danielle has enrolled in two further university courses and passed both with flying colours. She is now a fully qualified optometrist working alongside Nigel and Sammy at both the Kingsbridge and Modbury practices, committed to offering the excellent advice and service patients have come to expect from the Kingsbridge Eye Care Group. Danielle is a keen artist and enjoys watersports and the outdoors with her family.

Samantha Cook
B.Sc(Hons) M.C Optom

Sammy joined Kingsbridge Eye Care in 2008. In addition to completing her A-levels, Sammy has undertaken two university courses and passed both with flying colours. She is now a fully qualified optometrist working alongside Nigel and Danielle at both the Kingsbridge and Modbury practices, committed to offering the excellent advice and service patients have come to expect from the Kingsbridge Eye Care Group. Sammy enjoys gardening, country walks and helping in the local diocese.

Hannah Arscott
B.Sc(Hons), FdScOD

Hannah joined the practice in 2014. After already completing a degree in Forensic Science, Hannah enrolled in a second university course in 2015 to qualify as a Dispensing Optician. Hannah is now fully qualified and offers exceptional dispensing services in the Kingsbridge practice. Hannah enjoys playing badminton, reading, and watching quiz shows.

Mr Adam Booth
FRCOpth Phd
Consultant Ophthalmic and Glaucoma Surgeon.

Adam who is an associate professor of ophthalmology and worked at the Royal Eye Infirmary has been running private clinics in both our Kingsbridge and Modbury practices since 2005.

Clinics are currently run weekly at Kingsbridge Eye Care and monthly at Nigel Frost Optometrist, Modbury. Mr Booth can advise on any ocular problem but specialises in medical and surgical management of glaucoma and macular problems and small incision cataract surgery. Patients can be seen either by direct self-referral or referral via Sammy, Danielle or Nigel.

Adam is a keen sailor and enjoys a range of outdoor and sporting activities.

Kate Chalk

Kate joined Kingsbridge Eye Care in 2007. She qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 2011 and currently works in our Kingsbridge and Modbury practices. Kate enjoys growing vegetables in her garden, spending time outdoors with her family and travelling.

Sam Janes

Sam joined the practice in 1997. She has qualified as an optical and clinical assistant and a lab technician over the last 20 years and has a wide knowledge of lens and frame designs and technical experience. Sam currently works between our Kingsbridge and Modbury practices.

Jenna Stumbles

Jenna joined the practice in 2004. She qualified as an optical and clinical assistant and over the years has developed an excellent rapport with our patients dealing with enquiries, appointments and performing screening tests. Jenna enjoys spending time on the beach with her family and socialising with friends.
