From 25 May 2018, the current Data Protection Act was replaced by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and a new Data Protection Act. All uses of The Kingsbridge Eye Care information comply with the GDPR and the new Data Protection Act from that date onwards.
To assist us in providing our product and services, providing you with requested information, and otherwise conducting our business functions and activities, we need to collect personal information about you. By providing your personal information, you agree that it will be used and disclosed by The Kingsbridge Eye Care Group in accordance with our privacy policy.
As part of your health care, we may disclose your personal information to other parties, including health care professionals e.g. GP’s, Ophthalmologists and our affiliated companies, and to third parties who provide products and services to us through in the ordinary operation, administration or promotion of our business and otherwise in accordance with our privacy policy.
In respect of your personal information which they hold within those records, meaning that they must comply with the data protection legislation and relevant guidance when handling your personal information. To the extent relevant to their practice, you can expect clinicians (including their medical secretaries) to handle your information in line with this Privacy Notice.
All your personal information will be kept on our database for 10 years after your last examination. This is our legal obligation.
